New Forever GI Bill – Guest: Sergeant Lee M. Wilson
Army Sergeant LEE M. WILSON entered the military in Montgomery, AL in 1987 and was sent to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO for Basic Training and Advanced Initial Training (AIT). He then returned to Alabama to join the Army Reserves. In February 1989 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was sent to Ft. Dix, NJ. He was assigned to the 12th Engineer Battalion and sent to Dexheim, Germany, where he joined the Heavy Equipment Section of Bravo Company. His Battalion was deployed to Desert Shield and participated in Desert Storm. Wilson was promoted to Sergeant E-5 in October of 1992 and received Permanent Change of Station to Ft. Knox KY. He was subsequently assigned to Alpha Company, 19th Engineer Battalion. He was discharged from the U.S. Army in 1996 after serving 7 years, 1 month and 7 days on active duty.
